24 this morning.  Woke up to everything covered with a glaze of ice, as if we had freezing rain or drizzle during the night.  Cars, ground & deck all covered.  The only snow is a dusting on top of the ice on the deck & cars.  Strangely enough, the pond never totally thawed during our warm spell.

Light snow is falling here again. Enough to leave a light coating on my windshield after clearing it off yesterday.

Nice!  With the warmest temperature there this week forecast to be 38 on Monday, that stuff ain't going anywhere without help from a salt truck. And even then, packed sleet is hard as concrete and difficult to scrape off.

Light to moderate snowfall in Donelson currently with flakes bigger than any I saw yesterday. All in all we got about 0.10 of ice with about 0.25-0.50 of snow yesterday.

At times this little snow this morning kicks up pretty good. Nice sight this morning, as I drink my coffee.

Looking at the movement of this snow over Middle TN this morning from the north, the radars show batches coming all the way down from Lake Michigan. Think a lake effect component of this behind the departing system.

Ended up with a whopping 0.1" here.  It was a combo of a light glaze and a coating of snow. We were always on the fringes but I thought we'd at least get 1/2 to 1" of snow based on model averages. Should have gone with the worst model output available. At the last minute the nam and HRRR caught on to the full extent of the dry slot and decaying trowal for our area.

Congrats to those who scored. That's my favorite kind of storm. One which accumulates on all surfaces and has staying power. Some of you will have snowcover for a full week.

With temps staying below freezing except for Monday will this mess be gone by Tuesday? Have 2 ball games next week. We got about 5 inches here in Carroll Co.

Monday night into Tuesday there will be another round of snow, with temps diving into the single digits. May not be any ball games next week unless itís on Friday.

Uh... well, there is the snow chance on Monday night that could ice up the roads for Tuesday all over again.

My experience is that untreated back roads, especially north facing roads in hilly areas or those with shade, stay locked up a long time in weather like this. Main roads and roads is urban areas clear much faster.
