Verbatim Arkansas would literally be destroyed.

North of 40 should be in the meteorology dictionary.

As soon Christmas is over, Mother Nature throws everyone a token inch or two on the backside as the LP rides the Apps northward.

Barring details of course, that scenario with boatloads of precip overriding cold air seems rally plausible and consistent. The depth of cold air of questionable for now. Memphis area has at least an inch of precip of some frozen variety before temps warm just above feeezing (which doesn’t make a lot of sense to me). But wow what a potential nightmare travel scenario.

Was about to post. The end on the GFS. It literally last for over 70 hours.

And another note at the very end of the run we have another winter storm moving in on new years eve and new years day. Man if this run comes even close to verifiying we are in for active weather at the very least. ::popcorn:: ::cold:: ::snowman::

Well according to the GFS no snow for anyone south east of like dickson gallatin line. Its to early for most of us to get snow anyways. Maybe the new years eve or the one in mid Jaunary will pan out for the rest of us.

I understand there are a lot of details to iron out but IF that GFS run was to verify I think we see more snow in West Tn. An Apps runner is the perfect track for snow here with a HP to the north. With that look I think we get what Euro had yesterday. Just my uneducated opinion.

I don't know if that's always true, I've seen some decent December snows in Tennessee. But we definitely do expect more in JFM. Some of the largest I've seen here have occurred in March.

Look like some Winter weather is going to show up around Christmas. There was my forecast, best one so far. Lets wait another 5 days before becoming emotionally invested in each model run :) The signal is good, we just need to see how far south the cold air sinks and the position of the trough axis. Keep it simple right now
