3/9 - 3/10 Severe Weather Thread

Looks like some decent storms firing to the north and headed south.  I could see the lightning when walking my dog tonight while most of the convection was still at the TN/KY border  :o

(Sorry OHX didn't post a graphic like MEG)

Tornado Damage was reported in Hickman, KY (not sure the extent though). It looks like another round of damaging winds for some of the same areas that got hit back on March 1st.

Yeah- a separate thread for tonight's severe weather was long overdue.

I saw a pretty obvious looking TDS with the cell as it crossed the river and approached Hickman, KY.

Bookend feature near Holliday (Benton/Decatur line near I-40). Those could pack damaging winds and tornado spinups.

Didn't see anything with the warning in the south end of benton county. Daylight will tell for sure

I have been a bit amazed by the amount of lightning our systems have had so far this year. This storm really brought the lightning and we had a few times in February where I observed more lightning than I usually do on a typical storm in June-July. I don't even remember the storms of 2007-08 containing this level of lightning.
