Nashville WKRN's Lisa Patton to Retire

She seems well younger than retirement age.  Even so, I hope the best for her and will miss her presence on News 2 weather coverage.  She's been quite a trooper on many "wall-to-wall" days of severe weather coverage over the years.

She was probably the first significant female on-air meteorologist on Nashville television... and always a likeable and competent professional.

Two big events that will always stand out is her choking up on 4/16/98 as she realized the Nashville tornado was heading directly towards her home in Mt. Juliet, and the other when she was covering the Good Friday EF-4 and went into almost panic with the live camera feed from I-24 & OFP.

Yes- as I recall, it became difficult for her on air when she realized that the office building her mom worked in was hit by the tornado in 1998... and the Murfreesboro tornado in 2009, as well as 2010 flood coverage.  A lot of these clips can be found on YouTube.  If I have time later, I'll see if I can pull up some of these "Lisa" moments, if someone else doesn't get to it first.  She is a native local that a lot of people can identify with.  She's also fun to watch when snow is in the forecast, since she's clearly a snow/winter weather fan.

I was thinking that was an anchor who said that (maybe Neil Orne), but maybe you're right about that being Justin.
