I think the next 2 winters are going to be dominated by a zonal flow and  ::blowtorch:: (just like 2011-12 and 2012-13).  Then winter 2016-17 will be a repeat of last winter; a cold winter but the rain/frozen precip line will hug just north of I-40.  Then in the summer of 2017, the government is going to re-posses all ownership of all of our homes (in Tenn and northern Alabama only).  In other words, WE LOSE!!!   ::cliff::   or   ::bagoverhead::   or both.

GFS brings a nice cool down next weekend with temps near 80 and lows going back into the 50s.  ::fingerscrossed::

I have a feeling this thread is doomed. And that's cool with me.

Well Summer did gives us a bit of a sweat at the end, especially when walking up a hill 4-5 days a week.  Tomorrow is the start of Meteorological Fall so it is time for the birth of the Autumn/Fall thread.

Based on what evidence?  This forum isn't really much for gut feelings.
Based on how trofy this summer has been, I would put my money on the complete opposite scenario.  Also I don't even know what that last part is all about.

Time travelers of TennesseeWX, who was better? New Kids On The Block or Vanillan Ice? And why was Weird Als parody both?
Earth transforms sunlight's visible light energy into infrared light energy, which leaves Earth slowly because it is absorbed by greenhouse gases. When people produce greenhouse gases, energy leaves Earth even more slowly raising Earth's temperature. http://www.howglobalwarmingworks.org/
