Gallatin, TN weather.
« on: January 07, 2012, 03:00:55 AM »
Hey guys, I have a question- I am considering moving to the nashville area for a job, I love these apartments, http://www.kennesawapartmenthomes.com/ it is located in Gallatin..Is Gallatin a good city to live in? How is the weather there typically? Do they receive more snow typically than nash, more tornadoes, etc.!
Thanks.

I can't speak to the apartments, however, almost everyplace in middle Tennessee gets more snow than Nashville.  ;D

I don't know about snow, but if I had to pay $1240 for a one-bedroom apartment, Gallatin would get more rain than Nashville...because I'd be crying great big tears!  :o Thank God for living in the sticks!  ;D

Just going to put in my two cents worth about Gallatin for you...it has some nice amenities, large retailers like Lowe's, Publix, Kroger's, Walmart, Belk,  etc., but still has a slightly rural flavor still in certain areas,  it's near the lake, gas is cheaper, has lots of good  restaurants ...especially towards Hendersonville/Indian Lakes (a big shopping/restaurant development on Vietnam Veteran's Parkway)...but as to driving into Nashville every morning and afternoon..there's a ton of traffic on Vietnam Veterans...be prepared for a long congested  commute..the weather gets interesting out there at times..because of the topography of where I was, near Kennesaw, you could see lots of sky at one time... nice when there was a wall cloud rolling in...hope this helps!
