HA! You guys won't believe this, but I didn't save my 7 page report onto my jump drive...so it is gone. ::bangingheadintowall::

I apologize guys! I was looking forward to the discussion it would cause.

Later today I will try to right a summary of the methodology used as well as what I found. Won't be in depth like I would want it, but at least it will be something.

Did you see this from the NOAA on tornado allies? http://www.spc.noaa.gov/publications/broyles/longtrak.pdf

Includes cities, counties and states most affected from 1880-2003. OKC is #1 on their list of long-track tornadoes.

Tornado, Dixie, Hoosier and Carolina Alleys

Interesting correlation between the terrain and the general NW to WNW path storms take.

According to that, "Hoosier Alley" (which is new to me) dips down into north Middle TN.  We're sort of sandwiched between Hoosier and Dixie here.  I would argue that these could be merged into the same zone.

I had not heard of "Carolina Alley" either... but makes sense since there does seem to be an active zone over there as well.
