A TYPICAL LA NINA WEATHER PATTERN IS FORECAST TO EXIST THROUGH THEEND OF MARCH...WITH A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE ALONG THE WEST COAST,A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE OVER CENTRAL CANADA, AND A TROUGH OF LOWPRESSURE OVER EASTERN CANADA AND OFF THE UNITED STATES' EAST COAST.AREAS OF LOW PRESSURE WILL OCCASIONALLY SPIN OUT OF THE BASE OF THEWEST COAST TROUGH, AND MIGRATE EASTWARD ACROSS THE ROCKIES ANDPLAINS, AND INTO THE MISSISSSIPPI, TENNESSEE AND OHIO RIVERVALLEYS. THESE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS WILL BRING PERIODS OF SHOWERSAND THUNDERSTORMS TO MIDDLE TENNESSEE, FOLLOWED BY BRIEF COOLSNAPS.
A freeze would be disastrous. We're off to a great start to the growing season.

18zdgex yes.... Ummm, I'll put that fairytale up on the shelf with tonights mega millions winning lottery ticket.
As long as we don't have a freeze like April 2007 we'll be fine. Light freezes should be expected this time of year. I've got out some lettuce, peas, and potatoes which should all be fine. The garlic and onions are up and should be ok as well. Now, if you've put out tomatoes..........
The rule of thumb I've always heard was that stuff shouldn't be planted until after April 15 anyway.
Its different for different areas. The seed packages say to plant in Nashville after April 15
