I didn't feel it here.
Hopefully this will get the USGS to study this a little more closely.  They have largely ignored the swarm for the past year.  This swarm has been just as active as Iceland and Yellowstone in frequency, and those are both active volcanic hot spots.  The cause of the AR quakes remains largely a mystery.

Yeah, my FB has several reports of people feeling it around Memphis. Cousins in Bryant, AR reporting beds were shaking. 2 claims from far NW MS reporting they felt it. I didn't notice anything. I think I was outside at the moment it occurred.

I would like to know as well. I know most have said its due to the drilling going on in that area (which can cause earthquake swarms)...but this is getting awfully excessive and strong to be convinced by that anymore...

Yeah.  Some say it was due to fracking, but a 4.7 isn't going to be caused by that, especially in the range in which the quake was felt.
I just hope this isn't tied in to new madrid in anyway, I don't want that waking up any time soon.

Lots of reports of the quake being very loud and starting with an explosive sound.

Interesting to note this area has had 57 earthquakes in the last week...the "traditional" NMSZ...which this doesn't "appear" to be a part of...1.

This place has been rocking and rolling for well over a year.  I am not sure of this 4.7 was the climax, or a sign of things to come.

WMC is running a crawl saying it has been felt by several as far East as West TN and North MS.

Not exactly the kind of crawl I was expecting. Did not feel a thing in Germantown.

Seismometers as far away as VA picked up the quake.  I am very hard pressed to attribute this to natural gas drilling.

This is in my hometown of Guy where my entire maternal family still lives- it's scary to wake up to check the weather and see this. Especially because as I was drifting off to sleep earlier, I felt the bed tremble , but thought it was my husband moving. Now I know that wasn't the case. It's funny too because I thought to myself that it kinda felt like an earthquake, but poo poo'd the idea.

With something of this intensity and the fact that they have slowly been getting higher and higher in intensity, it doesn't make sense for this to be related to the natural gas line. This is really, really scary to me.

Just sent in my report to the USGS.
