Man that would be quite a bit of ice south of I-40 sheesh.
Thursday: A chance of rain and sleet. Cloudy, with a high near 42. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming northwest. Chance of precipitation is 40%.Thursday Night: Snow likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. North northwest wind between 5 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.Friday: A 30 percent chance of snow. Partly sunny, with a high near 33.
Just eyeballin it.... looks like .25-.4 of sleet/ice around your neck of the woods adam with an inch or two of snow to top it off.
I honestly don't know how anyone would cope with that much ICE around here. We did get hit pretty hard with the 1994 Ice storm. How much ice was around then?
way way way more than that.Don't get me wrong, a half inch of ice sucks. But 1994 was well over an inch.
Where does West TN stand in all of this??
I am not hearing any weather stations talking about this event. When should that start??
18z GFS...2m temps are also moving southward. ALmost the entire event is at or below freezing in the Memphis metro, which screams rain to ice to snow.
