I'm weird I know, but I don't mind cloudy dreary days, especially if there is a threat of snow or a thunderstorm.  I'm not kidding, I believe I could go 3 or 4 months without sunshine if I had constant weather threats.  Now rain day in and day out would get old, but clouds no problem.  I had this conversation with a coworker today and he, like most probably, thought I was crazy.

You're nuts.

In another life I'd go live on top of a high peak like Jack Kerouac did in his book The Dharma Bums and never look back.  I wonder if LeConte lodge is looking for an over winter person for next season....

Two things....
1)  I must concur with your co-worker.
2)  My opinion of you just went up a notch....Dharma Bums.  +1

The biggest issue would be lack of internets, but I think we could swing it.  We'd probably go bat sh*t insane, but we could swing it.   ::guitar::

I enjoy the occasional stretch of stormy weather, but not so much the endless cloudy days with no major storms.  It's a waste of clouds IMO to have them day after day without something coming out of them.  ;D
On the other hand, I'm an outdoor person.  I love working and playing outside (landscaping, plantin' trees around the house, workin' on the homestead, and hiking on the nearby trails), so I do tend to get cabin fever and want better weather to do the things I enjoy.  I guess that's why spring is probably my favorite season (March-June).  During that time you can have a sunny day, and before the day is over, have a severe thunderstorm roll through.

Can you tell where most of the snow fell?
AND A LOT CAN CHANGE BETWEEN NOW AND THEN.
