To keep from cluttering up the Big Dog thread, let's move discussions about the clipper system over here.

That isn't the clipper on the 10th/11th though???
Snow in the South is wonderful. It has a kind of magic and mystery that it has nowhere else. And the reason for this is that it comes to people in the South not as the grim, unyielding tenant of Winter's keep, but as a strange and wild visitor from the secret North. -THOMAS WOLFE

The Big Dog will impact the area overnight on the 9th through the 10th, and the clipper will impact us on the 10th and the 11th.

Wow imagine... S Tn gets 8 inches from first event, while C/N Tn gets about 5-6 (can see these totals jumping up btw), and then round two comes, and we're all sitting at 8. Would be wonderful!

OHX has a graphic out that has Monterey possibly receiving around 3 inches for this clipper at this time frame.  More icecream on the cake  ::yum:: ::yum::

Acutally clippers can come from anywhere but Alberta is a common place for them thus the name. You also get Saskatchewan Screamers which is just a clipper that comes from there.

Fast moving NW flow storms are Clippers.

This event has peaked my interest the last few runs.  Like someone else said icing on the cake and could be one of those overperformers for a select location.

Hey... if we get our foot of snow from two back to back 6 inch snowstorms a day or so apart, that's okay by me.  :D

(though it may be a stretch for both or even one of these storms to deliver 6 inches...)

I remember hearing the term Manitoba Mauler as well.  What do we call one originating in British Columbia? :)
