Talk about a major let down!  both of these systems gave us a fraction of the forecast totals.

Not done yet, still expect snow showers off and on throughout the day.

Clarksville has seemed to find a way too miss out on much of these systems. Maybe we get a lucky snow shower or two, but at this point I am doubtful.

wow so, if the dry air didn't eat up all the snow, we probably would have had 6 inches or more?

also, did Montgomery county schools close on Tuesday morning? Usually davidson county is the bulleseye that stays open.

County totals, based on highest total, near as I can tell.  Couldn't find data for east TN - if it's out there I'd appreciate it if someone could point me there.  And if there's a more comprehensive (or just plain better) version of this map floating around out there I'd really like to see it.

The 8.4 inches at kcha makes this a tie for the 6th largest snowfall here. Utc has been closed all week and now has decided not to reopen until after mlk day. The main roads are okay but most secondary roads (especially shaded ones) are still very icy. The freezing drizzle we got on Monday has made this. Stuff very resistant to melting, but it has compacted quite a bit.
Winter 2009-10 Snowfall: 11.5 in. :)
Winter 2010-11 Snowfall: 15.5 in. :)

I already see southerly winds and gulf moisture returning in the southern plains. Our snow-eater is on its way.

I think we mave to wait until Feb for winter wx potential. The first 15 days of Feb traditionally can offer some fun times.
