New Met on WKRN News 2 Nashville
« on: December 16, 2010, 03:15:24 PM »
Does anyone know who the meteorologist that replaced Jeff Ray on WKRN is, he does the morning spots for the NashvilleWX Channel, looks familiar, but I am not sure who he is.

I think its Neil Orne, he's often the anchor on the early morning show (not up that early to watch)... I think they are using him as a sub for now before they hire someone else... but I cant be sure of that. I really miss Jeff Ray, he had such a down to earth type humor.

WKRN should bring back Tim Ross to the airwaves, but I don't know if they would want someone up in years, I would like to see him back somewhere though.

Yep... I remember when Neil Orne was a weather guy on WKRN in the mornings, and that's all he did.

I actually remember when it seemed strange when started doing the news, since all he had done before that was weather.  So, he definitely has the experience to do it.

I think Tim is enjoying his 99.7 gig...he does weather (as their official meteorologist and handles some top of the hour news duties).

He was a fun guy to watch on 4.

I had no idea Mr Tim is on WTN now as I tend to listen to 1510 WLAC more often than Supertalk

Allison Chinchar from Chattanooga is the new weekend meteorologist for WKRN, I assume she starts her on-air appearence this weekend (if she didn't start last weekend)...I know for her first day they had her out in the snow. Nothing says welcome like being out in snow in 20 degree weather!

Ha she loves it though! If you read her Bio she talks about the two record breaking snowstorms Chatt had this year and she literally missed the third one this year by about 3 days when she left for Nashville. Haha She was always out in the little Snow shower events also. She was a hit around this area. Once you see her the first day you will know why. ::hot:: Haha but she will be missed and already is in the Chatt area.

HELLO!  ;D   ::guitar::

Your mission, gentlemen, should you choose to accept, is to get her to join the board.  ;)
