Did anything happen along the TN/AL border counties?  I have to drive through there in about an hour.

We get some nice dark greens on the radar but the dry air just eats them alive so far.

Just looked outside ... looks like South Franklin / Thompson Station got about a half inch... maybe a little more. My grass is coated pretty good... What a surprise... and my son is in Nolensville... 17 yrs old... he will be driving himself home in a bit.and has NEVER driven in any snow...

Reports are the interstate is slick on 65 south of Franklin. Last I talked to my husband out on the ambulance is quite a few accidents reported...

so if you are of the mind to please pray he listens to his mom and takes it slow and careful and does not get over confident since Nolensville did not get but a light dusting and Nothing is on their roads supposedly.

Hey Mother nature - you sent the snow a week early... Christmas Day according to the news 55 and rain  :(

That’s what troubles me. This notion that we have to take sides in this country now, you’re either with us or against us, Republican or Democrat, red state or blue state. No one looks at an issue and struggles over the right position to take anymore. And yet, our ability to reason is what makes us human. Lately, we seem so willing to forfeit that gift of reason in exchange for the good feeling of belonging to a group. We all just take the position of our team.”

18z NAM looks to be holding the precip shield together a bit better.

Wouldn't surprise me if we woke up to a surprise tomorrow morning.

 ::applause::

I wasn't expecting to see white stuff this morning... we picked up 1/4 inch out here.

I did learn something about last night's "event"....the RUC doesn't handle progged precip shields well AT ALL.  It handled the H5, H7, and H85 data very well, though.

If you look very carefully, you can see the very narrow swawth of snow in SW TN and East AR...look carefully it disappears fast. (time sensitive)

We got a dusting on the cars and the rooves in the neighborhood.  Nothing more than that....of course, it's all gone now.
