The Global Fantasy Model just nails us til New Years. It's showing me with 8-10 inches of snow on the ground by December 29th.

the  6z gfs this morning has turned this thing into a possible severe outbreak. what a difference from the 0z last night.

I think this timeframe holds great potential and expect one of our best if not the best storm of the winter in between Christmas and New years. Not saying it will be like that run of the GFS because the long range GFS always seems to overdo precip with major storms due to the lack of resolution. But something simular looks likely IMO. ::guitar::

Sort of a slight pattern changing storm if you will. ;D
