Woke up to about a half inch on the ground here this morning and still have a passing flurry.

Meanwhile glad to see my call of 4-8 inches verified in the higher elevations.

People up on top of Mt. Leconte woke up to 8.5 inches of snow and 15 degrees ::faint::

Quote
The snow seems to have tapered off. We awoke to 8.5" of snow this morning. It was so peaceful around camp. The low last night was 15. Guests stayed in bed under their warm blankets until we rang the breakfast bell. It is currently 16 degrees at 8:30 this morning. Today is going to be a great day for a good book in front of the heater. The high yesterday never rose above 22.

Something fell last night and froze to almost every surface. It wasn't frost, but big clumps of ice like you might see after freezing rain. I think it may have snowed/rained lightly, melted, then refrozen before morning. Either way last night was the first freeze at 29.6 degrees here.

How much do you have up there now, still about a half and inch?

I have about a inch, maybe a little more now (after an intense snow shower earlier this morning) but I believe it has quit snowing for the most part here.

Had a heavy dusting to 1/2" in places here this morning. I sat in my tree stand (opening day of muzzleloader season) and watched on-and-off snow flurries most of the morning. It's definitely the first time I remember seeing a white ground while hunting this early in November.

Had about 1/2-1 inch here this morning, looked heavier on tops to the mountains and had flurries floating around most of the day.
