I've just risen above my morning low, which also happens to be my coldest temperature so far this season:

29.7.

It's also my first time to dip down into the 20s this fall.

It was 28.6 when I left the house this morning.  The car doors were almost frozen shut.  Colder than I expected.

BRRRRRRR...We have a hard frost too!  Maybe Santa will bring me a nice weather station for Christmas so I can get actual temperatures, but our yard is white, the roofs in the neighborhood are white, and I bet there is frost on all my artificial pumpkins!

( boy, does the leaves on our last Bradford Pear look RADIANT this morning!)

Now, it's time to cut down the tomato plants (yes, they were still hanging on!).  But, they ain't gonna survive 24.4 degrees.  I picked off three green tomatoes last night.

Gotta mow up the leaves and clean out the gutters too.  Busy times this time of the year.

It wouldn't hurt to mow the yard one more time either.

25.5 when I left the house.  I bet the deer were moving.  Good morning to be in a tree.

They are beautiful....

I'll be in a tree in the morning for the ML opener :)

Be a cold morning for that too. I'm out of meat anyway, and I didn't get a chance to bowhunt this year.

Yeah, I'm thinking tonight might be pretty bumpy...but what do I know.

We've even had breaks of sunshine this morning.

That wind is gonna be something else up on the plateau tonight....brrrr...

Well, I'm gonna get some homemade chicken soup started.  Maybe between that and the colder temperatures, I can kick this stupid thing that has been ailing me this week!

boo....hissssssss.....
