OHX AFD mentions that day crew may replace Frost Advisory with Freeze Warning. We should have better radiational cooling potential tonight, lows will get down to close to freezing or just below in some areas...hit 38.2F up here in BG. We may see a Frost Advisory tonight.

I live inside Davidson County and with my low of 40 I know the usually cooler spots in my neighborhood were in the mid 30s.

There was widespread slushy frost on lawns across NE Rutherford County this morning.  The low at my house was 38F, but it must have been a few degrees cooler in the  creek bottoms nearby.

Yep, 3 inches. October snowfall is fairly common on LeConte. It's even snowed there in September. At that elevation the climate is similar to Southern Canada. LeConte averages close to 100 inches of snow a year I believe and since records have been kept the high temp has never gotten above 80 degrees.

Had another heavy frost this morning, got down to 31 degrees here. Two big frosts in a row. Not a hard freeze yet but the growing season is over.
