The earth is angry today.  4.4 Earthquake just hit central Oklahoma.

Yikes that is the 4th that area has seen in a week... 4.4 is the strongest.

There have been a significant number of earthquakes all over the world in the last few months. I keep worrying that the next one will be on the new madrid faultline, and Memphis will be laid to waste. Few of the buildings and bridges are built to withstand strong earthquakes there, and though the New Madrid faultline is relatively quiet... it has produced an earthquake that was felt in Boston, MA and that created Reelfoot Lake, and made the Mississippi River flow backwards.

Indeed... I wouldn't be surprised to get an earthquake we can at least feel in the next few months.

Since that last two earthquakes occurred on the Pacific plate, I would say the San Andreas in Cali will blow anytime. The Chile and Japan just added more pressure on the San Andres, but released pressure on many other places along the Pacific plate. I will bet that the San Andreas will blow before the New Madrid. The crust has been extremely unstable lately so anything could happen

i mean of course there not 100% right im just saying i think something will happen. might be wrong theres a high chance it is made up on a bunch of nonsence. but explain the earthquakes that we've been getting? i mean how many have we had in past 2-4 months.

edit. this is just my opinion.

there's a scientific reason for all theses massive earthquakes besides 2012. I think it simply started with one major earthquake and just had a domino effect, creating pressure inside the earth and moved plates all over the place. In a couple months it will all calm down.

All the energy will fizzle out eventually... all will have to even out (but thats just my opinion) or like adam said just coincidences..

Please also keep in mind, that geologists are stating that this is normal seismic activity.  The reason they are perceived to be more frequent is because of the better communications technology, better measuring equipment, etc.
Don't knock the weather. If it didn't change once in a while, nine out of ten people couldn't start a conversation.

got this off      (    http://www.articlesbase.com/weather-articles/chile-earthquake-amp-sun-filament-link-1916592.html)  its talking about something happening on the sun. might be linked with earthquakes. might not. who knows.

Quote

For the seventh day in a row, an enormous magnetic filament is hanging suspended above the surface of the sun's southern hemisphere. I million Klms long or 621371 miles long.. about 24 times around Earth. The Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) has a great view. How long can it last? Solar filaments are unpredictable. If this one collapses and hits the stellar surface, the impact could produce a powerful Hyder Flare. Readers with solar telescopes are encouraged to monitor development.

The Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) is tracking an enormous magnetic filament on the sun. It stretches more than one million kilometers from end to end
