In case anyone hasn't noticed, SHV has issued winter storm warnings and advisories for all of their southern Arkansas counties.

Basically it shows temps at 850mb crashing like a rock, which translated downward mean a good deal of snow for places in NW AR. In fact, WSW now extend just to the west of LR, with places like Hot Springs to receive light accums. The ozarks in north AR are now looking at major accums of 6-10 inches (ie Harrison, Fayetteville). 6z GFS does bring even more snow showers into WTN. With the wind as it willl be, could look pretty cool and lv a dusting. MEG is calling for light accums from Wynne AR to Martin. I wouldnt be surprised to see a dusting in Memphis if the 6z is right. Not a big deal, but wow what last minute changes have taken place.

One other thing...take a look at the 850mb winds....95 knots.  Wowsers.

I-30 is completely shutdown in Little Rock at this time due to flooding.  So is the alternate route:

EASTBOUND LANES OF INTERSTATE 30 WERE CLOSED AT OTTER
CREEK IN SOUTHWEST LITTLE ROCK. BY 516 AM...THE WESTBOUND
LANES WERE CLOSED...SO THE INTERSTATE IS SHUT DOWN AT
THIS TIME. AN ALTERNATE ROUTE...ARKANSAS HIGHWAY 5 WAS
CLOSED AT 245 AM.

the wind here is really kicking now. getting stronger it seems by the miniute. think i heard wind gust at jackson peaked close to 40  a min ago. only gets stronger after mid day. could see gust as high as 55mph. later. i if only the instability were a bit higher, we would be staring a tornado threat.
