...UNSEASONABLY COOL WEATHER IN STORE FOR THE MID STATE THIS WEEKEND...

A MID SUMMER COLD FRONT WILL PUSH SOUTHWARD THROUGH MIDDLE TN ON
FRIDAY. BEHIND THE FRONT...COOLER AND LESS HUMID AIR WILL BUILD
ACROSS THE REGION. NEAR RECORD LOW TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED
FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY NIGHT AS THE MERCURY DROPS DOWN INTO THE
MID TO UPPER 50S. HIGH TEMPERATURES DURING THE WEEKEND WILL GENERALLY
RANGE FROM THE UPPER 70S TO LOWER 80S...MAKING IT FEEL MORE LIKE
LATE SEPTEMBER AS OPPOSED TO MID JULY.

RECORD DAILY LOWS FOR THIS WEEKEND INCLUDE 57 DEGREES FOR BOTH
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY FOR NASHVILLE. WITH LOWS EXPECTED TO DROP TO
THE MID AND UPPER 50S...THE RECORDS COULD BE BROKEN. THE TWO RECORD
LOWS OF 57 DEGREES WERE BOTH SET BACK IN 1976.

Friday - July 17, 2009`s - Hi of 83 ° ties with 1992 on being the Record Coolest Hi.
Jackson`s McKellar Sipes Regional Airport`s Hi was 82 ° Actually Breaking the Coolest Hi Record.
It`s cool 82 ° or 83 °
More Coolest or Coldest Records are probably coming.

Cold front hit here at about 5:00 and man could you feel it! the dew point dropped from 70 to 56 in three hours. It already feels amazing out there. Can't wait to get outside tomorrow! Wish we could have gotten some rain out of this front though. We had very high POPs, I wonder what happened to the precip?

I am coming in right at 64F. Latest from NWS for Saturday night here is 55F. Watch out for a new Record Low.

I'm gonna have to move my station out in direct sunlight and find a good radiation shield because I only recorded a low of 63 here. It must not be getting enough ventilation.

Hi - 80 °** A NEW RECORD COOLEST : old record - 84 ° in 1976 !  ::applause::  Way to go Bemis - Jackson, Tn.

This Hi really feels good. Even if it is mid July.

Here in Jackson we probably have at least 3 more Record Coolest / Coldest Temps coming. ::flag::

We only got to 75.4ºF today...I would have to think we are flirting with a record low high for today with those numbers.

Officially we made it to 81 today, not that you would know it from the low humidity and north breeze. It felt like the low to mid 70's all day today. I'm guessing 57 for my house tonight, but I may get closer to 55.

Lo - 56 °** : A NEW RECORD COLDEST ! - old record : 59 °  in  1976  &  1984 !
Here in the Bemis - Jackson, Tn Area !
55 °** at Jackson`s Airport.
