My sister and brother in law who came by to drop my niece off said they saw 2 accidents on I-840 from exit 28-42. Currently a mile west of Independence in Northern Thompon's station I have: 31.9°F, RH of 86, north wind at 6-9mph, and light- moderate sleet.

Taking several different measurements (my ignoring with extreme prejudice precluded me from having a good place to count my snow totals..  ::whistling::  ::lookaround::  ), I believe 5 1/2" is a good total for me.  I want to get out in the far part of the yard first before I turn in the official total (the bottom of my boots fell apart    ::rofl::  from lack of use I guess) to measure again.

You cannot see our street at all...it is so pristine and beautiful and quiet..

I heart snow.   ::snowman:: ::snow::

I just went back out to measure the back end of our property.  The near back yard (where I measured earlier) is warmer and has a rock layer so there is a melting factor which usually never allows any snow to pile up.  The far back yard doesn't have that huge rock layer....so the ground gets and stays colder.

Those measurements went from 7-10" and most of them were 8"...very consistent with 8" totals....
