Hmmmm...I've got some pics of the 10" of snow we got here in south Jackson.  Not sure if it's a good idea to show them if people are going to get upset about it.  I see it this way.  For the first time ever, my two boys got to build a snowman that was taller than they were.  That makes me happier than you can imagine.  Who knows when West TN will see another snow like this?

I'm not upset about it. In fact, I'd like to see your pics! I didn't mean to sound off like I did, I had an incredibly bad weekend that had absolutely nothing to do with the weather. But, I'm over it and moving on! From  ::bangingheadintowall:: to  ;D lol.

Interesting AFD this afternoon with respect to the effects of snow on the ground...

Quote
AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NASHVILLE TN

.DISCUSSION...
SUNNY SKIES PREVAIL OVER THE MID STATE THIS AFTERNOON. TEMPS HAVE
STRUGGLED TO WARM AND RANGE FROM THE UPPER 20S SOUTH AND PLATEAU TO
THE MID 30S NORTH
. OF INTERESTING NOTE...SNOW PACK IS SHOWING UP
NICELY ACROSS SOUTH MIDDLE TN. IN FACT...WILL GO AHEAD AND ISSUE A
QUICK AFTERNOON UPDATE TO LOWER TEMPS ACROSS THE SNOW PACK AREA.

Southern Middle TN is colder than northern Middle TN today because of the snow on the ground.

Wow!  My kids are sledding for the third day in a row.  That's impressive for March.  Some of the backroads with shade are still very icy with frozen slush in the shady areas.  Snowpack is still a sold 4-5 inches average with some areas having a lot more and a few bare spots here and there.  Not much melting yesterday.  I can't help but wonder how long this would have hung around in late January.

He's in Marshall County near Lewisburg, which is down I-65, about 50 miles south of Nashville.

Nice!  I had forgotten what that much snow looks like (actually, I've probably never seen that much snow here).

At least, we know it's still possible for places in Tennessee it get snows like that.
