Where will the precipatation come from? the south or north. How many inches of snow could nashville get. will the roads be snowcovered by 12 am. any call maps?

Doh!  Someone finally did it. 

The precip will generally come in from the west, changing from rain to snow from northwest to southeast.

I think Nashville could get a slushy coating (like I usually say  ).  But, if things go in our favor... it could be more.

I sure am glad I am not the one that started this thread and ruined the snow chance for everyone!  That would have to feel really bad!!!!

for some reason, i'm sure about this one. i defintey beleive well get at least a coating.

remeber for last weeks snow system, that temps were froecasted to be in the 30's, then as the days went on, temps were forecasted all the way to the upper 50's. that's a pattern that i see and know that there won't be snow for days like last saturday.

but with this sytem, it's coming like some surprise. the cold air is very close, and the low will be to our south. i just hope that temps drop throught the day, and not rise because of warm gulf air.
the trend forecasat with this snow system, has been lowering the temps throughout the day. you remeber how that monday-tuday, that tmeps were forecasted to be in the mid 50's for satuday and only in the mid 30's saturday night, with a chance of snow. now temps areforecasted to be in the lower 40's with temps dropping thoeugh the afternoon.
i just hope it don't get any warmer than that, and hope that snow starts to fall way earlier with temps below freezing by 3pm, and prepcip continuing til sunday afternoon.

12z NAM seems to look a little better to me with some higher QPF in middle TN at times.

Interesting to note that Saturday night’s snow event looks even more pronounced as secessive model runs have deepened the upper air low moving to our south tomorrow. These forecasts are tricky as a rule but Predictor puts down a rather good snow band right across middle Tennessee for tomorrow night. For what it is worth this is as much snow as Predictor has showed all season (a measly snow season to date).

12z GFS still show a patch of moisture out near Memphis.

12Z NAM accumulated snowfall maps show most of davidson count in the 2-3 inch range late Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening.
