12Z GFS went warmer than more borderline for most of West KY and NW Mid TN.  12Z Nam is colder than the GFS not to far off from the 00Z except for a little less precip.

well I washed my car yesterday which virtually guarantees that TDOT will have to salt the roads sometime in the next week. though I have to say, it doesn't look like I have much of a chance of seeing anything. I'll be on the warm side of the front when the precip comes through. I'm betting it will be 48 and raining here while it's 33 and raining in nashville.

With those runs also looks like a good deal of West KY may be spared the worst except for Paduach to Owensboro.  Looks like North Mid TN has a decent ice threat before we change to rain.  and if snow and sleet really accumulates in NW KY it might hold the cold air over us longer.

Pretty nice returns showing up on the radar now and we should start seeing some reports of snow and sleet around nashville over the next 3 hours.

Folks in West TN say that since they built the Memphis Pyramid on the river it has messed up the weather. ::rofl::

I agree with your whole ideal thinking. For us N and NW of Nashville, we need to keep watching this system closely. The trends have been colder and even though this one or two runs were warmer, may not mean anything. So I still have the same feeling I had this morning. The models will play these games with us until the event is unfolding, they always have and always will.
