I dont see how there will be enough moisture for us on the plateau to get 2 inches, but this one is getting interesting.

Well given the lift over that area and its location being east of here the chances are very good for 1-2" in local areas.

This always happens... Well it seems like it. Most of our snowfalls are predicted usually less than 24-48hrs. Uh-Oh I bet I spoke too soon.

This morning we had a good sleet/snow shower that hit right before I got on the bus to go to school. It was enjoyable and I hope we see more tonight.

And I will even share some more with you. Look at the overall spread of the SREF ( NAM driven model). Notice the OP NAM vs its ensembles and other memebers shown. Just another great tool to use if you have the knowledge.

I must say that I am surprised by what this threat has become. I heard people at school talk all day about getting out of school tomorrow for snow...when haven't I heard that. ;). But when I left for school this morning, my mindset was that if we saw flurries we would be doing great, now they are saying that an inch is possible! Only in Tennessee!

Looking at a clear sky right now, it is hard to think we will have snow.

If not out, most likely delayed. It really will depend on where you live. This is a system where 10-15 miles will make all the difference in the world IMO. With these clipper systems, I think the 2" that the NWS is calling is a bit "overdone", but if you do end up getting 2-3 snow burst...2" is possible I guess.

If the roads become bad as a result of it, possibly.  It doesn't look extremely cold tonight though.  So, it's questionable.

Looking at a clear sky right now, it is hard to think we will have snow.

The action that will hit us is still out in the Plains states. Right now and until before midnight or 1 a.m., we should see cloud cover increase and areas east/north of Nashville will start seeing the flurries/snow showers fly. So right now we just have the clouds rolling in, the thicker clouds and moisture is still off to our west.
