AN ICE STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST TUESDAY.

MODERATE FREEZING RAIN WILL OCCUR OVER PARTS OF NORTHEAST
ARKANSAS...THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL AND NORTHWEST TENNESSEE THROUGH
THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. TOTAL ICE ACCUMULATIONS BETWEEN ONE QUARTER
TO ONE HALF INCH ARE LIKELY THROUGH 9 AM TUESDAY. ROADS AND
ESPECIALLY BRIDGES WILL BECOME HAZARDOUS. THERE MAY ALSO BE SOME
DOWNED TREES AND POWER LINES ACROSS THE WARNING AREA.

AN ICE STORM WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF ICE ACCUMULATIONS
WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS OR IMPOSSIBLE. TRAVEL IS STRONGLY

I am not so sure the ice storm warning will come close to verifying overnight for the mentioned areas. Precip starting to look sparse in those areas.

GREAT  NEWS !  As of  9 P.M. :  The  Winter Weather Advisory  has been Cancelled
For Madison County Tn.

Maybe this is a sign that the system is mainly gonna be just Rain.
No Frezzing Rain here in Bemis - Jackson, Tn. Yet.
Maybe the Ice Storm Warning will be Cancelled before 9 A.M. : Tuesday
1/6/09. MAYBE.
As of 9 P.M. : in Bemis : The Temp is 34 *
I have had 0.55 " of Rain. ::flag::

I am not so sure the ice storm warning will come close to verifying overnight for the mentioned areas. Precip starting to look sparse in those areas.
Several of those counties (particularly in AR) were pretty close to 1/4" of ice at issuance time and the precip moving in since probably got them above in several areas...which verifies the warning. If the event is ongoing...previous amounts count towards verification. I still think precip will redevelop back to the W Overnight...adding to the potential. LZK (finally) issued something...I have no clue what they've been doing all day...

Some of the far northern/eastern counties of the warning may have some trouble getting to 1/4"...but its a wait and see situation.

Should have clarified...I dont think NW TN or MO Bootheel will verify(ie Dyersburg, maye even Jonesboro?).
