Just in case anyone's interested, if you average in all the highs and lows of every day so far this month through 12/21, our average temperature in Nashville has been 39.75. The climatological average through the same period is 41.43. That means we're running only 1.68 degrees below average in Nashville (if I crunched the numbers right). Tomorrow's cold stats will no doubt bring it down a little more though. But, climatologically-speaking, it's really been a very normal December, temperature-wise. If we go much warmer than normal between Christmas and New Years, what little we are below normal for the month at this point could be erased. But, we won't be able to tally that until 1/1.

Wow. I'm surprised it has been that long.
I think in the end December will end up above average temp wise. The models are just UGLY if you like cold for the forseeable period.
Just checked December 2007 records and the coldest day I had was 40 and 21 on December 17th. Other than that, nothing else was even close....December 2008 is going to be a record setting COLD December...maybe of ALL-TIME!
