The Winter of 1985: So big even Dave Brown could get excited/enthusiastic about it...

Something happened to him over the years. I dont ever remember him being defiant like he apparently is today.

To be fair...you're right. Certainly in those clips...but even in my memories of him during the 90s...he seemed MUCH more enthusiastic in general about weather and his job. Not sure if its age/tiring of the job...the whole NWS thing...perhaps the personal issue/tragedy he had to deal with years ago (most in Memphis probably remember that)...maybe a combination of all these things or more...but something sure has been evolving with him over the last 10 or so years. Why he probably should retire like Satterfield in Huntsville after his 4/27 debacle.

Satterfield had a debacle? I'm confused. Please pm me info.
Don't knock the weather. If it didn't change once in a while, nine out of ten people couldn't start a conversation.

Not to get too OT but an important lesson here.

Even in this environment,  a lot of people are jaded by the horrible winters of the 90s... :'(

The NWS thing is probably a symptom rather than a cause.
