Global wind map?  Yes, please...

http://earth.nullschool.net/#2013/12/18/2100Z/wind/isobaric/850hPa/orthographic=-95.00,30.10,703

Sorry http://hint.fm/wind/ but you just lost the wind map wars...

Be sure to click on "Earth" where you can change the height level and time! Check out the jet stream!

I completely missed clicking on "Earth"...that just brought it to a whole 'nother level.  It's a kin to a walk-off grand slam to win the World Series.  Too cool.

Brace yourself - they added even more features here http://earth.nullschool.net/:

    Overlays:
-Wind | wind speed at specified height
-Temp | temperature at specified height
-TPW (Total Precipitable Water) |  total amount of water in a column of air stretching from ground to space
-TCW (Total Cloud Water) |  total amount of water in clouds in a column of air from ground to space
-MSLP (Mean Sea Level Pressure) | air pressure reduced to sea level

In addition - they also have ocean currents mode as well as the original wind mode[/list]

New Wunderground logo and site layout has just been unleashed! I'm a big WU fan and have no complaints with the new setup at first glance. Check it out!

Seems to be MUCH easier to navigate, thanks Clay.  I love having all that info, and we wondered what that "instrument" was on the high school's roof - I bet it was that weather station.   :)

I like it overall, but I personally miss the "previous" and "forward" buttons in the PWS graph/history. Now you have to click "Yesterday" or select a date range to view data for anything earlier.  Just being picky I guess.
