Not good...lol.  We got maybe 3 minutes worth of rain and then, just like that, she's gone.  I didn't realize how fast these individual cells are moving.  They're over and done with in about fifteen minutes.  Not going to complain too loudly...as least we got SOME rain.

Have you noticed if there's any damage around in your area? LOL! The clouds look dark back towards Bethpage and Gallatin. Thunder rolled again. I've been out taking pictures. I'm taking them on an old dispoisable (don't have spell check, but I do know i misspelled it) camera. When I get these pictures developed, there going to think, "What in the world is he taking pictures of ?" LOL! I hope I get to take the rest of my 5 pictures possible today. Wind is picking up a bit, not alot, but it is noticeable.

There's was a Special Weather Statement out for you Eric when the storm came by. I hope it comes by me cuase my dad is going to video me in the 35-40 mph winds and hopefully we will see some small hail too. Was the wind constant or was it just wind gust fro time to time.

The winds happened as the storm approached.  Once it hit, there was very little wind.  BTW, the storm is looking considerably more disorganized now than it was when it rolled through here, and we were on the southern fringe of it.

It looks like a few storms west of I-65 might be looking a bit more decent.  Don't know about severe but strong at least in a few of them.  And Lightning is present in both strong and severe.

Yeah, the winds got stronger (only gutsed to about 15 mph at most) as the rain came, but we didn't see much rain at all. We're getting another shower right now, but nothing big. I've been hearing thunder for about 10 minutes now. It appears the biggest areas of the rains that where in your region earlier, is going to hit just east of me in Lafayette. But like you pointed out, it has lost alot of its intensity.

I'm gonna get some rain now.  Ground has been a little dry so thats a good thing.  Storm is becoming weaker now because iti s a summer time pulse storm, but still have lightning and locally heavy rain.

Updated Day 1.  Looks like severe threat is obviously decreasing as the cold front moves through.

Quote
DAY 1 CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   0306 PM CDT FRI JUN 13 2008

   VALID 132000Z - 141200Z

...THERE IS A SLGT RISK OF SVR TSTMS FROM THE MIDWEST/OH VALLEY TO
   THE SRN PLAINS...

...OZARKS/ERN OK TO RED RIVER/N TX...
TAIL-END MCS PERSISTS ACROSS THE MO OZARKS/NERN OK...AHEAD OF THE
STALLED DEEP-LAYER FRONT OVER KS. OUTFLOW FROM THIS CONVECTIVE MASS
HAS SETTLED ACROSS CNTRL/ERN OK BENEATH STOUT CAP. BASED ON LATEST
GUIDANCE...STRONG HEATING AND PERSISTENT CONVERGENCE ALONG AND SOUTH
OF THE BOUNDARY WILL APPARENTLY BE ENOUGH TO OVERCOME THE CAP AND
RESULT IN STORM DEVELOPMENT OVER CNTRL OK SHORTLY. THIS REGION LIES
ON THE SRN FRINGE OF THE STRONGER WLY FLOW. DEGREE OF INHIBITION MAY
ALSO LIMIT UPDRAFT STRENGTH INITIALLY. HOWEVER...MAGNITUDE OF
INSTABILITY MAY OVERCOME THESE WEAKNESSES TO SUPPORT A COUPLE OF
INTENSE STORMS /POSSIBLY SUPERCELLS/ WITH VERY LARGE HAIL...HIGH
   WINDS...AND PERHAPS A TORNADO.

HI-REZ MODELS HAVE BEEN FORECASTING THE EVOLUTION OF AN MCS FROM OK
CONVECTION THROUGH THE EVENING. IF THIS OCCURS...THE SEVERE
WIND/HAIL AND ISOLD TORNADO THREATS MAY EXTEND FROM ERN OK INTO WRN
AR AND PERHAPS N TX THROUGH LATE TONIGHT.

   ...MIDWEST/OH VALLEY...
BANDS OF STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TRACKING EAST
FROM LOWER MI TO IND/OH AND KY THIS AFTERNOON. BULK OF THIS
CONVECTION HAS OUTRUN THE SYNOPTIC FRONT SITUATED WELL TO THE
WEST...ACROSS MO/KS. HOWEVER...FORCING FOR LARGE SCALE ASCENT AND
STRONGER DEEP-LAYER WIND FIELDS WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD EAST ACROSS
THE REGION AND CONTRIBUTE TO MARGINALLY ORGANIZED LINE SEGMENTS.
POCKETS OF STRONGER INSTABILITY ACROSS OH AND WRN KY WILL ALSO
SUPPORT UPDRAFT STRENGTH INTO THE EVENING HOURS WITH STRONGER
ACTIVITY PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS AND SOME HAIL.

   ...NRN PLAINS...
LOW-TOPPED STORMS FORMING WITHIN BAND OF FAST NWLY FLOW COULD
BRIEFLY ACHIEVE SEVERE LEVELS WITH MARGINALLY SEVERE HAIL AND/OR
GUSTY WINDS NEXT FEW HOURS. THIS ACTIVITY...STRONGLY MODULATED BY
DIURNAL HEATING CYCLE...WILL QUICKLY SUBSIDE AFTER SUNSET.

One of my employee's just talked to someone who works at some plant in Sparta. They claimed that a "tornado" hit the building and it is heavily damaged. I have not seen any warnings, so I was wondering if anybody could confirm anything like that. Sparta is only 15 miles south of our facility so everyone was concerned. I did see an intense cell recently pass over the Sparta area, that must be the culprit, but I have a hard time believing that it was a true tornado. I imagine that it was just straighline winds. Nevertheless, it sounds bad. Anybody else heard anything?
