Just wait until the NAM gets it's hands on it.  It's bound to turn it into a severe weather setup with 60 degree dew points all the way to Buffalo!

Ok snowman, that's weird!  I was just in the middle of typing up a post on the same system! Anyway, I'll throw my 2 cents worth in.

A few different models are showing a potent winter storm around this timeframe.  Whether it's a severe scenario or winter scenario remains to be seen.  A few things make me think that this might be winter's encore so to speak.

The NAO and AO are forecasted by both the Euro and GFS to go negative (aka blocking).  MJO seems to be in a somewhat favorable phase as well.  Add all of these together and the recipe is there for the build-up and release of cold.

The PNA is forcasted to be neutral or slightly negative.  Normally, this isn't a good thing.  However, combining this with a negative AO and NAO can sometimes lead to a cold and stormy pattern.

Lastly, strong La Ninas tend to be strong finishers in the winter weather department.  ;)  Bottom line is that the potential is there although climo isn't on our side.

Something tells me I seen this setup before......

1038 high pressure to the north.  Low scooting just south of the area.  Probably won't be there next run but weird just the same.

Lyngo, just think how that snow would be flying on the NW side of that low.

Anywho, whether it is severe or winter, it looks to go very stormy during this timeperiod with a big storm now developing on the models.

We will have to watch.

Lets not lose hope! That would be amazing if this Fantasy storm came alive.

It snowed on March 31st, when I was born in 87. Winter is not dead yet.  ;D

Dead. I see a possibility for N KY, but latest runs show the low pressure center near Chicago. Strong to severe storms would be a possibility though with good WAA ahead of front.
