Noon model runs will be interesting because it appears to me that no model has a very good handle on the system.

Getting into range of the NAM, 12z today showing a big ice/snow event. Granted, NAM is terrible past about 24 hours, but still interesting nonetheless.

Unrelated to this weekend..... I apologize.... But I didn't wanna start a new thread. What about today? (feel free to move this someone if need be.)

I just feel like all this rain thats puddling up and the low temps tonight wil cause a slippery mess. Am I completely wrong??

I'll let some of the rest of you break down the model analysis.

But, the 12Z GFS seems interesting for this weekend.

The update!!!!!

Looking into the 12Z bufkit data we show winter come back in full force!

The 12Z Gfs is beautiful ( at least till the 00gfs run :) )

Take a look at this, perfect track and temp. At the bottom I will post the 12Gfs Bufkit results. I wana pee my pants

*****************************************

12Z bufkit results:  Snow starting at 3am sunday till 6am. Snow accumulations of .3". Freezing rain from 6am till noon. Significant accumulations possible of freezing rain.
From 12:00Pm to 9:00pm heavy snow. Total Accumulations of 14.9" or 1 Foot 2.9" inches! Yes you are not seeing things. This is using omega valves and snowfall ratios during that time are 25:1 @ times. Given this is very unlikely I will use a 10:1 method. Using the 10:1 method we see 8.7' of snow after a period of freezing rain. If this was to occur it could be one biggest impacts in travel this area has seen in along time.

GFS evidently knows it is close to Valentines Day.  Too bad it will break our heart in the next day or two.  Funny to see some weather porn again though.  It has been a while.
