AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NASHVILLE TN
1210 PM CST WED FEB 13 2008

.DISCUSSION...
LOW CLOUDINESS IS QUITE TOUGH TO DISLODGE TODAY. LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS
STILL PERSIST ALONG THE PLATEAU WITH A FEW FLURRIES STILL ONGOING
ELSEWHERE. TEMPS HAVE HELD IN THE 20-25 DEGREE RANGE FOR MUCH OF THE
AREA THROUGH THE MIDDAY HOUR.

FOR THE UPDATE...WILL REMOVE POPS WEST OF THE PLATEAU AND JUST
INCLUDE SCT FLURRIES. FOR THE PLATEAU...WILL STILL CARRY A LOW POP
FOR LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. ONLY MINOR ADDITIONAL
ACCUM WILL BE POSSIBLE HOWEVER.

UPDATE OUT SHORTLY.
Views expressed are my personal views and opinions and should not take the place of official forecasts and warnings issued by the NWS and your local media.

Of course, since we did get a little dusting today with the accompanying excitement, this absolutely, positively, kills any chance of getting measurable snow over the weekend.

That's the way the snow gods do things around here.

Nuh-uh!!!!!!!  >:(    Its still gonna happen!!!!

I was wrong actually. The highest point you can drive to is the Dyer Observation Building (owned by Vanderbilt)off Granny White Pk. on Oman Dr. If you are going to visit some of the hill tops be careful. I almost slid off the road (and into a 10 ft ditch) going down one around a curve the other day when the roads were wet.
